SMART Relays – Buchholz Relays - NM-Series: Inverted Gas Volume Sensor

Dear Sir or Madam,
Please pay attention that due to the new upcoming international standard IEC 60076-22-8 we changed the gas volume sensor used in our devices.
The gas volume is monitored by the 4 – 20 mA analogue output.
Therefore the 4 mA corresponds to the Buchholz relay completely full of liquid (no gas).
The output signal of the monitoring unit increases with accumulation of gas and finally remains constant at max. 20 mA.
So the value of the output signal is now proportional to the gas volume.
With the former used sensor the value of the output signal was inversely proportional to the gas volume.
Our new revised operating instruction issue “BA 20/02/20/XX” you will find on our website and attached to each new Buchholz relay with gas sensor (code 60).
For devices manufactured before April 1, 2020, please use the former issue 20/01/15/XX, on our website available, too.
